Description:
Rorberto-Clemente field was named after the famous pirates' slugger who died in a plane crash on New Years eve 1972 when he tried to bring food to his country, that was struck by an earthquake. Mannheim players met him during a world championship tournament a couple of years earlier and honored him that way.
Apart from that fact, Mannheim has one of the few German parks with lights. The stands are very basic and there is no roof at all.
